Early last week, Deputy Directors Ma Ting and Tian Zaining from the College of Life Sciences at Nankai University in Tianjin visited the Department of Biology at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Director and Chair Professor Chen Wei of the Department of Biology met with both Deputy Directors.

Chair Professor Chen Wei briefed them on the Department of Biology. He said that Nankai University has a long history and a strong complementary relationship with SUSTech. The Department of Biology wants to strengthen its cooperation with the College of Life Sciences at Nankai University. There were further discussions about the Department of Biology at SUSTech in terms of its undergraduate education, international cooperation, academic exchanges, scientific research and teaching experiments.

Deputy Director Ma Ting acknowledged the work of SUSTech’s Department of Biology in areas of undergraduate education, international cooperation and academic exchanges. He also wanted to extend exchanges and cooperation between both departments. The two departments had extensive discussions on a range of topics.
