On September 16, Times Higher Education (THE) released its Physical Sciences and Life Sciences rankings in THE World University Rankings 2022 by subject. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) ranked between 126-150th in Physical Sciences globally and 8th in mainland China. Additionally, Life Sciences ranked 126-150th globally and 7th in mainland China.

Ranking in Physical Sciences

Compared to last year, the world ranking of Physical Sciences increased from 201-250th to 126-150th, making significant progress. Among the different metrics used to measure the subject ranking for Physical Sciences, it ranked 2nd in mainland China for International Outlook and Citations. Life Sciences improved its ranking from 176-200th to 126-150th globally. Among its metrics, it ranked 1st for Citations and 2nd for International Outlook.
