报告摘要：

Lysosomes are central to cellular metabolism but their homeostasis is constantly challenged by metabolic stress. It remains poorly understood how lysosomal health is maintained at an organismal level. Using C. elegans and mouse models, we reveal that aberrant accumulation of homocysteine, a hallmark of the life-threatening disorder homocystinuria, causes lysosome damage and dysfunction. We further uncover that Vitamin B12 (VB12), which is derived from dietary/gut bacteria, activates GABAergic neurons to safeguard systemic lysosomal health under pathologic or stress conditions. This talk will focus the underlying mechanisms.

嘉宾简介：

杨崇林，博士，国家儿童医学中心/首都医科大学附属北京儿童医院教授。 2016-2025年任云南大学生命科学学院院长/生命科学中心主任，特聘教授。2005-2016年任中国科学院遗传与发育生物学研究所研究员。2010 年获 “国家杰出青年科学基金”资助。2012 年被评为“全国优秀科技工作者”。2017年入选国家百千万人才工程，获 “有突出贡献中青年专家”称号。杨崇林实验室主要以秀丽线虫为模式，结合哺乳动物细胞和小鼠疾病模型，研究溶酶体、线粒体稳态调控机制与遗传代谢性疾病之间的关系。
