摘要:
Cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) has transformed our understanding of cellular structures by providing high-resolution, three-dimensional imaging of subcellular structures in near-native states. This talk will showcase recent advancements in cryo-ET technology and their applications in exploring complex cellular processes. By presenting examples from our latest research, I will demonstrate how cryo-ET uncovers intricate details of subcellular components, their spatial organization, and interactions.
Through this imaging-driven approach, cryo-ET proves to be an invaluable tool in unraveling the complexities of cell biology, truly embodying the essence of "VENI VIDI VICI."
个人简介:
Dr. Guo Qiang graduated from the School of Life Sciences at Lanzhou University in 2009 and obtained his Ph.D. in Biology from Tsinghua University in 2014. From 2014 to 2020, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Germany. In 2020, he started his own research group at the School of Life Sciences at Peking University. His group focused on Cellular Architecture—how subcellular compartments build up a functional cell, and Macromolecule Sociology—what’s the relationship between macromolecules and organelles.
