题目：The roles of cell-cell communications in cancer

Abstract: Cancers have heterogeneities, but there is a standard treatment for every stage of each cancer in the world. We thought that it may be due to the cell-cell communications among cancer cells and other cells in the tumor microenvironment, as such communications will result in the same characteristic among cancer cells at a certain stage. In this talk, I will use several examples to illustrate the roles of cell-cell communications in cancer progression. For instance, Rab22a-NeoF1 as a therapeutic target could be secreted into exosomes to modulate both the cancer cells negative for this fusion gene and the macrophages in the microenvironment; Mutant EGFR harboring the resistance to EGFR inhibitors could be transmitted from its positive cancers into its negative cancer cells, conferring these negative cancer cells to be also resistant to EGFR inhibitors.

个人简介： 博士、教授、博士生导师，教育部特聘教授，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者。现任华南肿瘤学国家重点实验室副主任、PI，中国细胞生物学学会肿瘤细胞生物学分会副会长。2003年，获德国Bielefeld大学生物化学博士学位。1998---2008年，一直在美国、德国从事细胞生物学、肿瘤学研究工作。2008年5月，全职回国（中山大学“百人计划”引进人才）。已获得国家自然科学基金重点项目4项、“973”计划项目（2项）、国家重点研发计划（3项）。主要研究方向：肿瘤细胞及其微环境的调控、相互作用与干预。以通讯作者在Nat Cell Biol, Nat Cancer, Cell Res（3篇）, J Clin Invest, Adv Sci, Nat Commun 等国际主流杂志上发表论著50多篇。
